This year we went up to Pine Valley and spent it with the Macfarlane clan. We got the kids Easter egg hunt done with right before the hail started. I know, I know...hail in April? Mac and Julie did the annual adult Easter egg hunt again this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I only have anxiety about this thing. You have to hold hands with your spouse during the whole egg hunt. The year before...Josh drug me because I wasn't fast enough. This year...Scott mowed into Josh...which made Josh mow into me and knock me flying. All I can say is "OUCH!" It hurt so, so bad! We did pretty well this year though. We ended up getting quite a bit of money! (Did I forget to mention that the eggs are filled with ca$h not candy!!) It was fun spending the day with the fam. The kids had a nice sugar high goin' since their diet consisted mainly of candy.

I love my hubby and kiddos so, so much! I kinda like them! Happy Easter everyone!

Spring Break!!!!

For Spring Break I was able to take a few days off of work. In the 14 years I have lived here in St. George, I have never been to the Brigham Young home, the Tabernacle, or the Jacob Hamblin Home! I know, I know! They are right down the street! I thought it would be a fun and cheap way to spend our time. The kids had a BLAST! It was so much fun! We will definitely be doing that more often in the future. The kids enjoyed taking pictures and learning about Church History. They even got to see some pictures of their Great, Great, Great, Great Grandfather John Menzies Macfarlane! (I think that was enough Greats! I think!)

Pinewood Derby Winner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so, so proud! Ayden was ecstatic!!!!!!!!! He did the designing of the car and did a fabulous job! All of the boys made amazing cars. It was a close race. He was on cloud 9! Boy Scouts is so much fun!

New Beginnings!

Our old house...

and our new house!

We are really enjoying this new home. I got a little carried away and decorated for Halloween in the beginning of September! This house has so much character and life! We are definitely in the RIGHT spot at this time in our life. Things feel good. I love when that happens! Most of the neighbors are wonderful and so kind. Our last neighborhood was very quiet and not very inviting. The neighbors we knew were great...but we didn't feel that we belonged. We fit better in this more used and lived in neighborhood...if that makes sense!?

Another year at the rodeo. This is the first year Josh couldn't go because he had to work. We go with my Mother and Father-in-law, my two Sister-in-laws that live here, and 11 of the grand kids. Crystal and I lost Corbin for a few minutes but we found him in the middle of the field twirling in circles. Phew!!!!! Crystal always goes and waits in line all day so that we can get our usual spot. She is such a trooper! Every year she also gets into a fight with someone in the line. It's pretty entertaining! Life is full of excitement around here I tell ya.

So much has happened!

I have a confession...it has been 2 months since my last post (I think. Possibly more : ( !) The 4th of July came and went, I watched my sister-in-laws wonderful children for a week, Avery got baptized, work has been busy & we moved into town.

The 4th of July was the usual. We spent the evening at Grandpa Monte's house on the Black Hill and watched the fireworks and had a BBQ and root beer floats with the family...yummy!

Avery was baptized! She is such a wonderful daughter and so beautiful! She has such a strong spirit. She mainly pushes her Dad and I to do the right thing. I am the child when it comes to the church compared to her.

We moved from Coral Canyon into a smaller home in town. The home has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. However, it is cheaper, has a big yard, has an almond tree, 2 pecan trees, a pomegranate tree, a peach tree, grape bushes, and is way cute to boot! It has a darling front porch that I love to sit on and watch the kids play. It is 2 houses down from one of my beautiful sister-in-laws and her 4 boys. It is white with black shutters and a black door. It has class and sophistication I tell ya. It definitely feels right to be there. I love when things just fall into place. I will take a pic and post it soon!

Avery's 8th Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Avery helped Grandma Porterfield make this Barbie Cake for her Birthday. They had to use a bigger tip so that Avery could help...it made Barbie look a little hefty...but she was still beautiful! Avery got lot's of Barbie stuff, a Zu Zu Pet and a camera! She is very excited to get baptized soon! (Again...I am feeling older than dirt!)

~Avery's Surgery~

Before...

Avery decided to have surgery on her lip. She said the kids at school always made fun of her! (Dang kids!!!!!!!!!!) We ended up taking her to a Plastic Surgeon and he referred us to a Cleft Pallet Specialty Team. We ended up finding out that Avery was going to have a Cleft Pallet that would have gone all the way up to her eye!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were so grateful that that didn't end up happening. On June 9th we took her up to Provo and they ended up cutting the inside of her mouth and connecting the mouth muscle (I guess it wasn't connected), and making a Z cut on the side of her mouth and cutting about a 1/2 inch out of her top lip.

She is doing great! She had hardly any pain and can eat great. The cut is healing wonderfully!

Ayden's 9th Birthday!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe he is 9! Ayden's Birthday was June 4th. Grandma Porterfield made him an R2D2 cake. All the family came over. Ayden received 2 sets of Lego's, pool toys, a hovercraft, and more Lego's! I am starting to feel really old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

An AWESOME lady took my kids pics a couple of weeks ago. She is amazing! Nothing like my cute kiddies, some 25 Main cupcakes and some great lighting to make me smile. Another adventure down and moving on to the next one!

East was so much fun. We had a 3rd Easter egg hunt at Grandma Porterfield's. It was raining so we did it in her house...way fun! Another year down. Time flies! I want it to slow down just a tid. I know I will miss these days. Ayden and Avery are starting to ask questions about weather the Easter Bunny is real. Avery found some of the trash from their stuff in their baskets in the garage! I told her that the Easter Bunny can't carry all of the trash around with him...he wouldn't be able to visit the other kids. Crisis averted for the moment! I love my family sooooooo much. And not just my immediate one. I couldn't be more blessed. Life is good...for the most part!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know, I know...you are all jealous of my HOT new car! All the boys want me now. I had to tint the windows with limo tint in the back so they would stop chasing me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All joking aside. It is way nice to be able to sleep in a few extra precious minutes. It has been 1 1/2 years since I rolled my beautiful Pontiac (7 months prego). Josh's Dad got us a major good deal on this big, GREEN, beauty. It also gets a lot better gas mileage than our huge truck gets us. The kids are in heaven. They think it is the coolest car ever. Ayden thinks it is awesome that he can tell people that we got an Outback for a car.

Coming Home!

We decided to head home at midnight. I know what you are thinking...are they CRAZY!? Answer: Yes, we are. We didn't watch the weather report before we left. Bad idea. It took us 8 hours to get home! It should have only taken us 3 1/2. Needless to say, Josh was exhausted. We have never seen the roads that bad...ever! Semi's were doing 360's. We passed cars that were totaled, some on their sides, others stuck. Josh is the best driver ever! He drove 30-40 miles per hour until we reached Cedar. At one point we were at a dead stop on the freeway for an hour because a semi was blocking both lanes. Needles to say...It was AWESOME! (If you didn't know...I am being facetious.)

Before we left...we had to go to Thanksgiving Point and go to the Dinosaur Museum.

We lucked out and decided to go to the zoo on Friday instead of Saturday...good thing because Saturday was crazy cold and snowy. Good thing Josh is the only one who watches the weather. I knew I married him for a reason!

Ice Skating in St. George!? I know what you are thinking...it sounds CRAZY!

On Monday Josh and I took the kids ice skating for Family Home Evening. The kids had a blast. Camden and I sat on the sidelines people watching. Some kids totally biffed it. I have to admit...it was HILARIOUS! Just a note to those that want to go...take gloves, hats, coats and even some kids brought walkers so that they wouldn't fall on their arses!!!!!!!! Needless to say, Camden and I were freezing so we went and hung out into the truck. Camden is a born wild boy. He decided that he was a better driver than me...He probably is.

Camden's FIRST Birthday!!!!!!!!!!

The whole family came over to celebrate Camden's first Birthday. He had a great time having all of the Cousins over and playing with balloons for the first time! Camden wasn't a big fan of opening his presents or eating his very own cake. I guess he doesn't like to get dirty when I say it's okay. He only likes to make messes and get dirty when I say "No."

It has been a fabulous year! I didn't know anything was missing in my little family until he decided to show up! I love him and my other 2 kids soooooooooooooooooooooo much!!!!!

Grandpa Shumway graced us with his presence for the first time this Thanksgiving. It was nice to have him and Marc (my Brother) and his boys to Celebrate with.

Bobcat & Wolfe!!!!!!

We are so very proud of Ayden!!!! He received both his bobcat and Wolfe badges in the same night!!!!! He was recognized in front of the other boys and their parents. I had the wonderful opportunity to have Ayden pin both pins on me as well for helping (even though it was all Josh)! To be honest...Cub Scouts is way over my head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Camden is almost 1 years old and getting a little too heavy for me to be lugging him around in his infant car seat. For both his Birthday and Christmas present...my Mom and Dad bought Camden his big boy car seat! It was very exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Camden finds it very entertaining to face forward and see out the front windshield. Could life get any better that that?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Grandma Mac's Halloween Party!

Grandma Mac made all of the Grand kids a Halloween bag. They were filled with light sticks, a candy and a stuffed animal. Camden was so excited when he saw his turtle that he got!

Grandma & Grandpa Mac grow their own pumpkins. The kids drew a # so that there was no fighting over any pumpkins. (There would definitely be fighting amongst all of the Cousins!) This is Ayden's pumpkin that he got and painted. The funny this is...he painted it upside down!!!!!

This is Avery's sweet pumpkin she painted. Nothing but flowers and glamour from her!

All the kids loved the doughnut on the string! It was hilarious watching them trying to do this!!!!!!

October 2009 Deer Hunt!!!!!!

This was Ayden's first year he got to go hunting with his Dad on opening day. They all woke up at 3 a.m. and headed out. Ayden hiked with his Dad and Uncle Sean 3 1/2 miles strait up a mountain. He kept up with all of them! He was pretty tired at the end...but he made it. Ayden hiked 7 miles in all. What a trooper!!!!!!!!!!!!

Staheli Farm Festivities!!!!!!!!!!!

On Saturday October 10, we took the kids to the Staheli Farm pumpkin patch and corn maze. We had the best time ever!!!!!!!!! They have a petting zoo, pumpkin patch, horseback rides, playground, etc. We spent a good 3 hours there running around after the kids.

Fall is the best time ever!!!!! I love the smells, the Holliday's, and best of all...the food! My family is everything to me. Josh and I enjoy every moment that we spend with the kids. Happy Harvest to all!
